Submissions
On 19 August 2008 the Review Panel called for public submissions. The submissions received by 14 November 2008 contributed to the development of the Review’s first consultation papers released in December 2008.
After releasing its consultation papers, the Review Panel then called for further submissions on the tax and transfer system by 1 May 2009.
It also called for submissions specifically on the retirement income system by 27 February 2009 to allow it — at the Treasurer’s request — to consider and report on the retirement income system ahead of providing its final report on the tax and transfer system by the end of 2009.
Issues and questions raised in submissions will be considered by the Review Panel during its deliberations when finalising the report — along with feedback provided in online comments and other correspondence, at public meetings, during the tax and transfer policy conference, and through consultation conducted with representative organisations and other stakeholder groups.
